Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership on reviewing, developing, and enhancing Cloud-based technical architectures and their implementation
  • Under minimal direction, collaborates with teams to define, analyze and review requirements 
  • Key participant on technical team to define technical specifications and system design; develop technical and data architecture for securing and delivering information systems 
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders to translate goals to technical cloud solutions 
  • Prepares technical documentation which thoroughly captures proposed and as-built solutions
  • Leads Cloud deployment activities, including communication, contingency and rollback planning
  • Facilitates design reviews, code walkthroughs and other quality management activities
  •  Completes activities and tasks in accordance with project plans and milestones, in close collaboration with program management
  • Estimates level of effort and resource utilization 
  • Anticipates, communicates and resolves issues and risks during project planning and execution
  • Contributes to the development and continuous review of appropriate practices, standards and guidelines
  • Clearly communicates complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Presents strategies and solutions to program leadership to get buy-in and approval
Qualifications:
  • 5 years’ experience with cloud architecture
  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Must be proficient with coding/programming as well as Git
  • Experience on cloud programs, including Cloud solution architecture, requirements management, and product ownership. Experience with cloud-enabled transformation programs, preferably within federal government
  • Expertise with designing and implementing modern cloud application architectures
  • Knowledge and practical experience with the Microsoft Cloud stack (including but not limited to Azure infrastructure, Platform, and Networking Services(Government), Office 365, Entra ID, Defender, Intune) required
  • Experience with Microsoft Graph, PowerShell and Azure CLI
  • Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft cloud identity, including but not limited to: Conditional Access; Privileged Identity Management; application federation (Enterprise Apps / App Registrations); hybrid identity (Entra Connect); authentication methods; external identities; identity governance; Azure RBAC; managed identities and service principals
  • Expertise on a second cloud stack (AWS, GCP) preferred
  • Experience with DevSecOps methodology, CI/CD pipeline architecture, modern configuration management approaches, infrastructure as code, and compliance as code
  • Experience with correlating and implementing NIST SP 800 series, particularly NIST 800-53, 800-63 and CISA Guidance preferred
  • Hands-on experience with implementing cloud security baselines, documenting security controls, and achieve Authority to Operate (ATO) for cloud solutions preferred
  • Willingness to quickly learn new technologies as needed to effectively deliver cloud projects
  • Familiarity with modern compliance (automation) approaches
  • Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals preferred
  • Federal experience strongly preferred
  • US Citizenship required 
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government clearance (Public Trust)
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
